Pokemon Masters has a new event that will run from today until September 17th called Double Trouble. It acts an in-game tie-in with the upcoming movie Pokemon Coco and sees players attempting to save a Shiny Celebi from Team Break.

At least, that's what the player is trying to do, but along the way, they'll join forces with Team Rocket's infamous trio Jessie, James and Meowth, who naturally want to snag the Celebi for their leader Giovanni. Throughout the various battles, you'll be able to fight alongside Jessie, who is joined by her original partner Arbok.

Once you've cleared the main story portion of the event, you'll be able to unlock Jessie & Arbok as a permanent Sync Pair in your roster for free. They're a 3-Star Strike duo with Poison typing and a weakness to Ground moves. Once you've completed the story section, there will be a few extra battles to beat that will net players a few Gems and training items.

In terms of moves, Arbok has access to Acid and Poison Jab for damage and Dire Hit to increase its critical hit chance. Finally, he also has a move called Blast Off! which removes any status conditions, sharply raises its Attack and Special Attack but lowers both its defences. Meanwhile, his passive ability, Toxic Power 5, increases the power of an attack if the target is afflicted with poison.

DeNA has also pointed out that because of COVID-19, they have been unable to record English voice acting for the Team Rocket trio. They do intend to add this in at a later date, however.

Pokemon Masters is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
Looking for a more traditional RPG experience on your phone? Here are 25 of the best available for iPhone and iPad.
